Dr Flavia Bueno specialized in Endocrinology overseas in 2002, and undertook training again when she moved to Australia, both in Concord as well as Campbelltown hospital. She also has a background in Emergency Medicine and worked for several years as an Emergency CMO at different Sydney hospitals.
She enjoys working with all aspects of endocrinology and has a special interest in Women’s Health, such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Menopause and Menstrual Irregularities. She is also interested in Obesity, Type 2 diabetes, Bone and Adrenal disorders.
Dr Bueno remains involved with research on PCOS and Obesity and works as a Senior Lecturer in Endocrinology at Western Sydney University. She runs the Female Endocrinology Clinic at Campbelltown hospital, where she holds the position of Honorary Medical Officer.
She also coordinates the Diabetes Complications Clinic or IPL (Interprofessional Learning Clinic) at the Macarthur Clinical School, where she teaches medical and allied health students.
